Water Light Festival in Brixen
Local and international artists will transform waterfront locations and cultural-historical treasures into an open-air gallery with their creative ideas. The focus will be on reflections on ecological, economic, and social aspects related to the theme of water and light. Under the motto “Water is Life – Light is Art,” an art trail will be created in Brixen’s Old Town. A unique atmosphere will emerge, offering a new way to experience these waterfront locations.
The 2026 edition will take place as part of IMAGINE PEACE, a project co-funded by the European Union that promotes collaboration and a sense of unity and connection among five different European light festivals. The participating festivals alongside the Brixen Water Light Festival are Copenhagen (Denmark), Essen (Germany), Oslo (Norway), and Pula (Croatia).
